Banoffee pie is a classic British dessert, famous for its irresistible combination of bananas, cream and caramel sauce. In this recipe, we''ll replace the traditional toffee cream with our BAM Toffee Caramel, which will add a unique depth and richness of flavour to the pie. With its rich texture and balanced sweetness, BAM Toffee Caramel brings a modern twist to a classic recipe and promises to make your banoffee pie even more memorable.

Ingredients:

For the crust:

  • 250 g crumble biscuits (e.g. Digestive)
  • 100 g melted butter

For the filling:

  • BAM Toffee caramel
  • 3-4 ripe bananas

For the cream layer:

  • 500 ml whipping cream
  • 1 teaspoon BAM vanilla paste

For decoration:

  • Grated chocolate or cocoa powder

Instructions:

Preparation:

Prepare the base: mix the crumbled biscuits with the butter and spread the mixture evenly over the base of the round cake tin, pressing firmly to create a compact base. Preheat the oven to 180°C and bake the base for 10 minutes. Then leave to cool.

Filling: stir the BAM Toffee Caramel and spread evenly on the cooled biscuit liner.

Bananas: Peel the bananas and cut them into rounds. Arrange them over the caramel layer.

Cream layer: in a separate bowl, whip the cream with the BAM Vanilla Paste until light and fluffy. Then spread the cream evenly over the bananas.

Decorating and cooling: sprinkle grated chocolate or cocoa powder on top. Place the pie in the fridge for at least 3 hours to allow the ingredients to bind.
